A Home Inspector with 12 Years of Experience
RECON Property Inspections, LLC is owned by Michael Parkes, a professional and personable home inspector with 12 years of experience. He began his home inspection career working for HouseMaster, a home inspection franchise company that taught him everything he needed to know about home inspection standards, report writing, and putting his years of construction industry experience and knowledge to good use.
He worked for one more company before starting his own home inspection business 5 years ago. He considers this the best decision of his career and loves that he gets to help people while doing something he loves.

Construction Industry Experience
Michael has been working in the building and construction industry since high school. While earning his degree in Construction Engineering, he was working alongside a reconstruction and restoration contractor. At this job, he handled fire, water, and smoke damage for insurance claims. Eventually, he started working with a general contractor who got him involved with commercial and industrial construction projects. He even had the opportunity to work on the Walt Disney Concert Hall. From residential home damage to commercial building projects, Michael has experienced it all and is eager to use his skills to help property buyers and sellers today.
A Background in Education
Between his careers in the construction and home inspection industries, Michael began teaching high school and junior high and coaching high school and college football. This experience has been useful to him as a home inspector. He wants to fully educate his clients about their prospective homes, making sure that he explains the details in ways that they can understand.
Michael goes above and beyond to not overwhelm his clients while also making sure that all of the facts are delivered to them in a way that is helpful but non-alarming.
